Welcome to Venezuela!


    Venezuela, officially known as the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a beautiful country in northern South America that borders the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. It is the home of the worlds largest waterfall, Angel Falls. They have a population of 27.6 million with most of the population living along the Northern coast. Venezuela's official language is Spanish, however, there more than thirty indigenous languages, including Wayuu which is the most spoken indigenous language. Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, and German are also some of the most spoken languages in Venezuela, after Spanish. 

     Not only is Venezuela one of the most language diverse countries, it is one of 17 megadiverse countries in the world. It is home to 21,000 plant species and over 8,000 endemic animal species. Venezuela is also home to over 2,000 species of bird, mammals, amphibians and reptiles.
